Oh! Dos layouts en una semana! Qué está pasando? :D La realidad es que al tener la página de la Constelación de hilos en medio del PL, necesitaba hacer algo detrás, y esta foto del finde familiar que no me cabía en las fundas verticales y tampoco quería cortar me vino de perlas para dedicarle un layout entero.

Es una foto especial para mí porque en ella aparecen mi madre y mi tía. Aunque ellas dos no comparten lazos de sangre siempre han tenido una relación muy especial que me encanta observar y vivir. Así que eso que cuentan de hacer una página de scrapbooking para explicar una historia, es totalmente real en esta ocasión: Quería dejarlo plasmado para la posteridad. :D

Inicialmente, las letras no iban a ir en las tiras de papel blancas pero como no quería hacer pruebas sobre el papel directamente, cogí estos restos de cartulina que tenía y estampé el título en ellos. Así podía ir moviéndolos por la página. El resultado fue que me gustó cómo quedaba así tal cual! Así que no me lo pensé dos veces. El contraste se lo da la ampersand amarilla, que es un sello en madera de Ann Marie Loves. Le puse un gomet 3D para darle relieve y añadirle interés a la página, que de por si, ya veis que es sencillita :)

Tuve un pequeño incidente con la tinta neón amarilla, que acabó en la cara de mi tía... :O Pero a parte de ese suceso aislado :D estoy contenta con el resultado!

Two layouts in two weeks! What is happenning with me? :D The big truth is that I had this Brad Constellation layout and I needed to make something for the back side. And I had this photo of the family weekend that didn't fit in the baseball protectors and I also didn't want to trim it down.

Also, this photo really shows the especial relationship my mother and my aunt share since long time ago. And I just love it. They are not blood related but they always have had this deep beautiful friendship although they see each other once or twice a year. 

This is one of this occasions that you really want to document something important for posterity!

Initially, I didn't think about using the strips of paper for placing my title but I didn't want to test the stamps directly on the paper so I made this in order to move them around the page.  Quickly, I realized that I loved this approach. The contrast is given by the yellow ampersand ( by Ann marie Loves) I put some 3D stickers bellow to make it stand out more.
A little help for this simple layout.

I had a little incident with the neon spray and it ended up on my aunty face...:O A part from that "isolated" event... :D I love how it turned out. It is kept in my Project Life album.

Replicando Estampados: Red de Hilos (+vídeo)

He hecho un layout! :D
Y la verdad es que me lo pasé muy bien! En cuanto tuve la idea lo probé directamente y me grabé. Así que ésta es la primera vez que lo hacía y lo podéis ver en directo en este vídeo! 

Este post es el primero de una serie que tenía pensada hace ya algún tiempo y es básicamente la siguiente: Replicar/interpretar/conseguir hacer un estampado o un patrón de estampado que me guste o me haya llamado la atención por algún motivo.

Hace ya bastante tiempo que este tema me interesa y alguna vez he hecho mis pinitos con algún proyecto de scrap que habréis visto por aquí o digitalmente (aunque aún no lo he enseñado!)
En esta ocasión, es más una re-interpretación de una obra artística aplicada al scrapbooking. En el siguiente post veréis más una réplica de estampado real.

Este precioso libro de artista lo vi en Pinterest y es de una chica que se llama Serene y vive en Singapur. No he podido encontrar más datos sobre ella pero podéis verlo entero aquí.

En cuanto lo vi ( a parte de pensar que algún día me gustaría hacer un libro de artista también! :D) pensé que sería genial poderlo aplicarlo a una hoja de scrap. Y éste es el resultado:

Como no me gusta coser, descarté ese método de entrada, aunque reconozco que podría quedar genial en una página de scrap. ¿Quién se anima? :)

Primero marqué con un lápiz sobre la hoja, los puntos donde irían los brads y luego los coloqué. Tenía unos de Teresa Collins que ya me coordinaban con la foto pero los otros no. Así que los pinté con pintura acrílica negra.

Después empecé por uno de los brads, enrollé el hilo alrededor de él y continué haciendo un camino por cada uno de ellos de la forma que me parecía que quedaba mejor.

Intenté no recorrer una gran distancia entre brad y brad y tampoco pasar por encima de un brad sin atar el hilo a él.

Dos notas importantes:

Si lo intentáis igual, atad bien el hilo al primer brad porque luego tiende a soltarse.

Empezad debajo de la foto para que no se os vea el extremo como a mí! :P (Me he dado cuenta cuando estaba editando el post!)

Como veis, yo lo he hecho muy sencillo y minimalista pero podéis probarlo con muchísimos más colores y dando vueltas por toda la página. Incluso con algún dibujo...

I made a layout! :D
And I really enjoyed it! As soon as I had the idea I recorded myself doing it. You can watch it here. So you will see me in my very first attempt creating it! 

This is the first post of a new series I wanted to make since some time ago and it's about replicating/construing/achieving a pattern that I saw somewhere that I love it or attracts my attention somehow.
I have a thing with patterns. You already know it if you've been reading this espace for a bit. :D
I love them in general by I also love deciphering geometric ones. It is really fascinating for me. I have also created digital patterns but I haven't shown any of them (yet!) :D

For this time, you can see an adaptation of a piece of art on a scrapbooking page. Next post is more about a real paper pattern.

I saw this beautiful artist book on Pinterest and I knew I wanted to make something similar for a scrapbooking page.  It is made by a girl named Serene and she is from Singapur. I couldn't find more details about her but you can see her work here.
You can watch the video as I've already told you but I tell you in short my process for making it:
I don't like to sew so... I resolved brads were my best bet ( They are so versatile! I love using them!) First, I marked with a pencil where I wanted the brads to be placed. After securing them, I picked the first roll of thread and I started to go around the page brad after brad rolling the theard a couple of times in each brad.
Some of the brads here were painted with acrylic paint beacuse I wanted them to be black. The orange ones are from Teressa Collins.

Two important notes if you try to do this:
Secure the thread the first time you start. It tends to get loose easily.
Start from under the photo. This way you avoid ugly pieces of thread saying hello at some point of the page! I saw mine when I was editing this post! :D

As you can see, I made it really minimalist but you can go wild with it. Cover with threads all over the page or go multicolored! I think it has many possibilities!

Tutorial:: Fondo layout con mini stencil + glitter!

Hoy os traigo mi último post para Scrapaddictes. Un sencillo paso a paso para que creéis un fondo con una mini stencil y un bolsillo de purpurina.
Antes de seguir con el tuto que pudistéis ver aquí, quería agradecer a Ana que me viniera a llamar para formar parte del bonito proyecto que es Scrapaddictes. Me sentí muy afortunada y me sigo sintiendo muy afortunada de haber estado allí rodeada de las súper Leti, María y Violeta. Han sido unos meses llenos de ilusión y trabajo. Yo he decidido dejarlo aquí. Tengo ganas de hacer un parón importante y hacer cambios. 
Deseo lo mejor a Ana y Scrapaddictes. Yo les seguiré de cerca por supuesto. Además, habéis visto el pedazo de nuevo equipo que tienen?? Grandes cosas les esperan! :*

Y ahora, a por el tutorial! Os lo dejo aquí tal y como está en el post.
Se trata de una sencilla manera de personalizarte una típica cartulina blanca bazzil. Como sabéis, me gusta trabajar con tintas, pero generalmente, de una manera muy sutil y con mucho blanco. Yo he escogido 2 tintas con efectos muy suaves: la dorada y la coral para hacer el fondo, pero vosotras buscad, si queréis, unas con más saturación de color según vuestro estilo!

He escogido un elemento principal para el fondo: la mini stencil con el símbolo Ampersand (que parece que sigue de tendencia durante un tiempo aún!) y he empezado con el spray dorado creando una línea de ampersands en la parte de abajo del layout. Siempre con el mismo color.
Nota: Yo suelo pulverizar el spray a unos 13cm del papel. Pero si sé que que contienen mucho pigmento, alzo aún más la mano. Siempre, haced pruebas en un papel a parte si no os gustan las sorpresas!  

El exceso de tinta lo he utilizado para estamparlo en un die cut (de la silhouette) que quería que apareciera en el layout. Aquí se aprovecha todo!  Más adelante,  he hecho lo mismo con el color coral.

Pasamos al segundo color: He hecho otra línea en medio del papel con el spray coral. Como veis, éste se ve bastante más a simple vista. Y luego he repetido otra de dorado en la parte de arriba.

He añadido unas gotitas de manera dispersa de los mismos colores por toda la página y el resultado es este:

Es difícil que veáis aquí el brillo y el nacarado pero en los detalles del final, lo veréis mejor.

El siguiente paso, es un elemento decorativo para el layout. Un bolsillo con purpurina! Quién dice que las fundas protectoras sólo se utilizan en los minis o PL? La que veis aquí pertenece al mini álbum para fotos Instagram de We R Memory keepers. Es chiquitina y el tamaño es ideal para que sirva como otro embellishment más en una página 30×30

Simplemente he cogido la purpurina y la he echado dentro. Encima, he pegado el título de la página y lo he dejado en blanco para que resalte sobre el glitter. Para que no se salgan los polvitos  podéis coserla o poner un poco de pega por dentro que cuando se seca es transparente, como hice yo. No lo he tapado del todo porque me gusta el efecto de que parezca que el glitter sale del protector y continúa hacia la parte de arriba de la página.

Lo siguiente que he hecho es estampar la palabra fun por el centro del layout en diagonal, tal y como está pegado el título en el protector. Luego se ve muy poquito, pero recordad, que lo importante siempre son los detalles 

Para finalizar, viene el montaje de la página: un trozo de cartulina rectangular que atraviesa todo el layout, un par de rectángulos para hacer layering, los corazones que hemos pintado antes, la “bolsita” con la purpurina y el título, y algunos 3D dots debajo de la foto  para resaltarla. He doblado también los extremos del papel amarillo a rayas para añadirle interés. Finalmente, algunas gotitas de spray negro aquí y allá para darle contraste a la página.

Lo último: el journaling, las ampersands de madera y los enamels dots, que no falten! Y aquí tenéis el resultado.

Como os decía, me encanta que parezca que la purpurina sale del bolsillo y continúe por la página…

This was my last work for Scrapddictes. An easy way to made your own background with one little stencil and 2 color sprays. Before starting the step by step, that you could see here, I wanted to thank Ana for asking me to join her team for her beautiful new project that is Scrapaddictes. I felt very lucky and I still feel very lucky to have been part of this amazing team with these super ladies Leti, Maria and Violeta. It has been some months full of  illusion and work. I decided to quit here. I want to make an important stop and re-thinking and make changes.

My best wishes for Ana and Scrapaddictes. Have you seen their new team? We are going to see amazing works for sure! :*

And now, let's proceed with the tutorial!

This is about personalize your own background from a basic bazzil (you know this is one of the things that I like doing the most) This time, I used 2 sprays with a subtle tone (coral and gold)  This is my style but, you can choose 2 with higher concentration of pigment if you prefer.

As a main element on the background, I chose the ampersand mini stencil (that trendy character! :D) and I started with the gold spray creating one lines of ampersands at the bottom of the layout. Always with the same color.

Note: I normally spray at 13 cm aprox from the bazzil. But if I know, it is a high concentration ink I raise my hand a little bit. If you don't surprises, test on a scrap before! :D

I also stamped the ink excess on a die-cut (from my silhouette) that I wanted to use on the layout We are not wasting anything here! :D Afterwards, I made the same with the other color.

Now, let's change the color. I sprayed the coral one like a second row right above the golden line. It is more or less at the middle of the page. You can see on the photos that it is more visible than the golden spray.

Then, I repeated a last line of "gold ampersands" at the top and I made some splashes of ink all through the layout.

Now, let's go for the glitter pocket! :D I picked up a Werememory keepers plastic pocket form my stash and I just pour inside some standard glitter. Who says the page protectors are only suitable for the binders? :D

This tiny one is perfect for a layout!

You can stitch it to prevent the glitter from spilling out or attach it with a staple or stick it with invisible glue like me. But I didn't glue all the pocket because I like the effect of the spray above it. It looks like the glitter keeps on scattering from the pocket up to the top. Afterwards, I glued the title "great times" down on the pocket. I didn't paint it because I want it to contrast on the glitter.

The next step was stamping the little word fun on angle at the center of the layout. Just emulating the position of the tiltle.

It barely can be seen at the end, but remember the details are what matter the most!

The last step for this layout was assemble all the parts of the page: one large piece of paper that goes from one side to the other, 2 small rectangle for layering, the hearts die-cut that we painted with the spray, the glitter pocket with the title, some 3D dots behind the photo and I also bended the yellow paper to add some interest to the page.

The last I made was the journaling, the ink splashes and the litle details you see at the top and at the bottom: the enamels and the ampersands.

You can see above the details and the pearl efect of the golden spray.

Layout:: 20's

Últimamente, todas las fiestas que hacemos acaban siendo temáticas de alguna manera. Son el doble de divertidas pero requieren una buena preparación previa! 
La foto de este layout es de mi cumpleaños, en el que preparamos un speakeasy (clandestino) de los años 20. La estética de esta época me encanta y siempre había querido hacer algo así.
Lo bueno, es que ahora, al ser scrapera, la cosa se pone interesante de verdad! Todo se puede convertir en una DIY party!
En esta ocasión, no fue de otra manera: con la ayuda de mis amigas, decoramos parte de la casa. No hice casi ninguna foto :( porque fuimos con muchísimo estrés pero de todo el montaje, quedaron las plumas que veis en layout ( También las utilicé en el layout Shine y esperad, que aún me quedan! :D) Encontré la idea en Pinterest y me hice un dip-dye dorado en unas plumas. Lo másss! :D

El layout lo pudisteis ver en el blog de Scrapaddictes el viernes pasado junto a un mini que os enseñaré la semana que viene. Pero si tenéis prisa lo podéis ver si pincháis aquí. :D

Utilicé una de las míticas mini stencils de Heidi Swapp. Con paciencia fui tapando el fondo con papeles para sólo echar spray donde yo quería exactamente. Utilicé alguno de los negativos para que quedara más irregular y le diera un aspecto menos perfecto.

El clip Love lo cosí a la página porque la grapadora no me llegaba al centro. Aproveché y puse hilo fucsia del mismo color alrededor de la foto.

Lately, it seems all our parties are themed in one way or another.  These are fun but it requires a really good prep.

The photo on this layout was from my last birthday's party. We transformed my (previous) home into a 20´s speakeasy. I love that style since long time ago and it was like a mini dream come true. The good side of being a scrapper is that your parties can be DIY in many ways.

With the help of my friends we decorate the house into a speakeasy. We were so in a hurry that I coudn't take almost any photo :( but there is one thing that remains! The feathers. I saw that idea on Pinterest. I dip dyed some standard fake feathers on gold. So easy and so cool! (I also used them on another layout.... and I still have feathers... just saying :D)

This layout was on Scrapaddictes blog last friday. There is also a mini album that I will show you the next week. But if you feel you just can't wait :D you can just click here to take a look now. 

I used the faboulous mini stencils by Heidi Swapp. The one with triangles. Love them lately. Does it has a meaning? 

I covered the background with scraps to mask the part that I didn't want covered with ink. I used the negative again to give it a non-perfect look.

The Love paperclip was sewn on the layout because the stapler didn't get to the middle of the page.  Sewing is not my jam ^^'

Layout :: Shine

Feliz lunes!

Espero que hayáis pasado un gran fin de semana!

Hoy os traigo mi layout Shine que se publicó el miércoles pasado en Scrapaddictes.

Utilicé las tarjetas de PL de My Minds Eye de la colleción Charmed. Estas doradas que veis sí! Son súper chulas! El título, Shine también sale de una tarjeta 4x6. 

El fondo lo hice con gesso y sprays. Muy sencillo pero así le da un toque de color al fondo rompiendo el blanco.

 En la parte superior y la inferior hay dos letras Thickers mistables. Las rocié con spray brillante. Aquí no se ve bien, pero brillan, creedme! :D

Happy monday!

Today I leave you here this layout that was published last wednesday on Scrapaddictes' blog.

I used these golden cards from My mind's Eye. Yes, they are golden and they are amazing!

The tittle is also cut out from a 4x6 card from the same manufacturer.

I made this simple background with gesso and sprays. I love that it breaks the white in a subttle way.
On the top and at the bottom of the page you can see these letters. They are thickers mistables. I sprayed them with brilliant spray. And they shine although it can not be seen on the photo.

I hope you have been a little bit inspired!

Paso a paso: Fondo con 1 Sello y 3 tintas

El otro día os enseñaba esta página y os comenté que venía con tutorial.  Vamos a ser precisos y llamémosle : Un paso a paso del "cómo se hizo". :D

Advertencia: hay que estar muy motivado para hacerlo :D Porque lleva bastante tiempo.  Es verdad, que siempre podéis parar y seguir en otro momento o dejarlo para otro día, pero si os pasa como a mí que yo tengo que recoger cuando me voy a dormir porque necesito la cama libre... :)  o sois ansiosas (también como yo...) Esto es para vosotras.

Aquí os enseño cómo lo hice y el método que descubrí para ir más rápida:

Material: El sello de Studio Calico/Paislee Press "enjoy.every.moment" una tinta dorada de Brilliance, y dos chalk inks de Prima Marketing: Old Rose y Pastel Peach. Un lápiz, una goma de borrar tipo lápiz, una regla y un papel bazzil normal.

Primera Parte: Medir. Sí, medir!! :D Calculando bien previamente, la distancia que necesitaría, hice puntos, cada uno en un extremo de la página para luego unirlos con una línea. De esta forma, llené toda la página de líneas rectas donde estampar el sello.

Para calcular el espacio que necesitaba entre línea y línea, estampé una fila con el sello y las 3 tintas. Uno tras otro en orden: Dorado, anaranjado, rosa. Siempre va a ser repetido en el mismo orden. Y me fijé cuánto espacio verticalmente ocupaba el sello estampado.  Eran unos 4 milimetros pero yo dejé 5 para que quedara un poco espaciado.

Comentaros que hice algunas filas más para estar segura de que los colores quedarían bien entre ellos antes de seguir con toda la página! (no vaya a ser!)

 Segunda Parte: Esto es lo que me ayudó a no abandonar! Y el verdadero truco.
Para no tener que limpiar el sello cada vez que estampaba y luego cambiaba de color, estampé toda la página primero con un color, luego con otro color y finalmente con el último.
Y para hacer esto, busqué pautas de repetición.
Como había hecho tres filas ya de prueba, sabía dónde había que posicionar cada color. Así que cogí el dorado, y me fijé  en que la primera "e" del enjoy dorado siempre coincidía verticalmente con la "j" del enjoy dorado. Por lo tanto, fui estampado hacia arriba siguiendo esta pauta (saltándome una fila)
Después escogí otro color, el rosa, e hice algo parecido: Me fijé dónde coincidía una letra en concreto del rosa, para hacerla encajar en cada fila con el dorado. 
Con el rosa, por ejemplo, me di cuenta de que la "j" del "enjoy" rosa encajaba entre la Y griega de "every" y la m de "minute" de la palabra dorada. Así fui subiendo y estampando donde tocaba.
Por último, solo tuve que rellenar los huecos con el último color; el naranja.
Dependiendo del sello que tengáis, será más fácil o más difícil encontrar las pautas de repetición para hacerlos coincidir.

La última parte, consistió en borrar las líneas de lápiz. Primero utilicé una goma de borrar estandard como la que veis a la izquierda... Y lo que pasó es que me llevé por delante medio estampado! 
No lo había pensado. Es la desventaja de la chalk ink! que el polvillo se desprende y hasta lo puedes borrar! Si lo hacéis con otro tipo de tinta no os pasará.
Finalmente, borré todas las líneas con muchísimo cuidado con una goma de borrar tipo lápiz. Afilando la goma a menudo.

Así es como quedó el fondo tras borrar las líneas de lápiz:

Y como ya visteis, así quedó el layout:

Hi there!
As I commented in my previous post, here, you have a step by step tutorial or "how to make" a background with one stamp and 3 inks. 
Important note: you really have to be in the mood for doing this. The truth is that it really takes a long time. You just can stop and carry on on another day, but if you are like me, you need to clean everything before you are going to bed (because you need it to sleep!) you know what I mean.
This is how I made it:
I just used this Studio Calico/Paislee Press stamp, 1 golden Brilliance ink, 2 chalk inks from Prima Marketing( old rose and pastel peach), one pencil, one eraser, one ruler and one white bazzil.
First Part:
I mesured (yes, I mesured :D) how tall the stamp was in order to make the lines to place the stamp repeated in a row.
It was 4 millimetres tall but I left 5 milimiters just to give the pattern a little bit of extra space.
You can see on the images that I trace the line making two points on each side of the page. 
I also made several rows stamping the stamp with the colours I wanted, just to be sure they will look nice. Always the same order: gold, peach and rose, gols,peach rose...
Second Part:
Here goes the trick. In order to not to clean the stamp everytime I changed the colour I stamped first all the golden ones, then the pink ones and finally the peach ones)
To achieve this, you just need to find a guideline. 
As I already stamped three rows at the bottom of the page, I could see some guidelines. For example: Starting with gold; I see the first "e" of enjoy always coincided vertically with the "j" from the golden ejoy.  That is how I stamped all the way up following this pattern. (skipping one row at a time)
With colour pink, I made something similar. I see the "j" from enjoy was in the middle of the "Y" from every and the" m" from minute on the golden stamp.
So, I stamped all the way up again. 
Finally I just filled up the gaps with colour peach.
You can make your own guidelines or look for them when you create your background.
The Last Part: 
I erased the pencil lines. But be careful with the ink. First of all, make sure it is completely dried. Or just do not forget that chalk ink can be erased with a rubber!! Like I did ^^' I erased one bit of the pattern! So, I choose a pencil-rubber and this time I was very accurate with each line.
So this is how I made it. Some of you commented that you were going to make it. I hope you give it a try and show it to me! If you have any question, leave it on the comments sections and I will answer you!

LO:: Summer (not) the end!

Esto es un layout, que dormía profundamente dentro de una caja de cristal carpeta del ordenador... hasta que vino un sapo el ratón... y lo despertó! :D
Vamos, que esta página tan primaveral, la hice el otoño del año pasado, al final de un verano que no se acababa nunca y hoy ha sido rescatada del olvido.

Y lo mejor es que tiene un tutorial que os enseñaré el próximo día. :)

La página la hice a partir de un bazzil blanco y creé mi propio fondo con un sólo sello y 3 colores.

La tarjeta rosa es una PL card de Sc y tanto el tag de plástico amarillo, como los die cuts son de American crafts. Los embellishments son de Studio Calico.
Me encanta el tono del layout en su conjunto. Bueno, también es normal porque lleva 3 de mis colores favoritos para el scrap: el dorado, el amarillo y el rosa (el otro es el mint! >3)

There was a layout that slept in a cofin file inside a computer... until one day that the frog mouse came and wake it up!
So, that is to say that I made this spring-like layout back in autumm when we were having this long summer that never ended and today this page has been rescued from oblivion**

And the best news is that it comes with a tutorial that I will show you on my next post.
I made the background for that page with 1 stamp and 3 inks from a white bazzill.

The pink card is from Sc and the plastic yellow tag and the die cuts are from American crafts. The embellishments from Studio Calico too.

I love the feeling of this layout. I suppose because it carries 3 of my favorite colours for scrapbooking: golden, yellow and pink ( it is only missing mint! <3)

Color de Marzo de Kits de Somni

Buenos días!

El martes pasado publicaron el color del mes en Kits de Somni. Si no lo viste, puedes hacerlo aquí. No te pierdas la inspiración de todo el equipo de diseño.

La imagen para el color de este mes me encanta y me parece muy inspiradora! Yo no lo estaba mucho pero conseguí hacer este layout de que estoy bastante satisfecha. Aunque sólo sea por el tono de azul y la composición extraña!
No hace falta decir que es un regalo para el día del padre.
Debajo de la foto hay unas palabras dedicadas :D

Para darle algo más de interés, pasé los bordes de los cuadrados por la máquina de coser.
también intenté levantar un poco los lados con la uña.

Today I bring you this layout for the color of the month of Kits de Somni.
I loved the picture and it was very inspiring, but I was not. Despite of that, I am quite satisfied with the result. I love the blue tones and the strange composition.
I do not have to say that it is a gift for father's day. :D There is a personal note behind the photo.
You can see I machine stitched the borders of the squares to give some interest to the layout and there is also a letterpress card.
I hope you enjoy it and give this color a try!
