Mini Album-garland:: That Summer

Os presento a mi pequeño rincón alegre de casa. Que ahora, lo es más aún, con un mini álbum colgado en la pared! Hola rincón zen + mini!
Como habréis observado en el título del blog, he llamado a este álbum: That Summer.
No sé vosotras, pero yo, hay veces, que de tanto congelarme en estas fechas, me entra el agobio y necesito volver, aunque sea mentalmente, a días más calurosos... 

Así que hoy, os propongo un pequeño paréntesis de Navidad y December dailys y otras cosas que dan frío...

Cuando me senté en la mesa para hacer este mini álbum, honestamente, no sabía por dónde empezar. Me di cuenta de que hacía mucho tiempo que no hacía uno para mí. Uno que no tuviera ningún tipo de restricción. Que no fuera un encargo, un regalo, un álbum para un taller...
Qué emocionante y qué paralizante! :D
Necesitaba un hilo conductor, a parte de mis fotos preferidas de este verano. Al final, supe que sería la textura. Así que en cada página veréis algún material que tiene un tacto diferente (hay una repetida: mi querido emboss de la Big Shot!)

Todos los papeles son de la última colección de Dear Lizzy: Serendipity. Muy fan de las hojas con estampado de MÁRMOL. No os puedo decir por qué. (!!!) Fan a primera vista. 

El diseño del mini es muy sencillo y tiene pocos adornos como podéis ver. El journaling está hecho con la máquina de escribir.

La idea de hacer un álbum/guirnalda nació en una noche de insomnnio. Pensé que ya que no podía dormir iba a dedicar el tiempo a pensar en qué tipo de mini podría hacer...

Y esto es lo que se me ocurrió.

Y finalmente, un par de zooms del mini en la pared. 
Cuando le da la luz, esta zona de la casa se ve muy chula. Me tengo que poner en el resto, que aún está muy vacía. De momento, esta es la única decoración que he hecho de Navidad... Y ya veis que no es de Navidad! :D

Meet my happy  little zen corner. Now, happier with this hanging mini album on the wall! Hi Zen corner + mini!

As you have already noticed in the blog title, I have named this mini album: That Summer.
I do not know you, but sometimes, during this frozen season I feel overwhelmed and I need to come back to warmer days (mentally at least!)
So today, I suggest you a little break from Christmas, December Dailys and these beautiful things we are seeing on the online world.

When I sat down to work on this project, I, honestly didn't know what to do. It was the first time since I can't remember that I was going to make a mini album just for me. Not a commisioned work, not a gift, not a mini for a workshop.
How exciting... and how paralyzing! :D
These were last summer photos but I wanted something else in common. So finally, I looked for texture. Each pages has a different one (except two with paper embossed) : raffia, cotton fabric, tulle and feather.

All these papers are from Dear Lizzy last collection: Serendipity. This collection made me instant fan of marble! I can't get enough of thes marble popsicles (!!!)

This garland album idea stroke me one imsommiac night. I decided I was going to took advantage of this time thinking about the mini I wanted to make. So after a while, I got with this idea that pleased me and I fell asleep.

At the end of the post, you can see two close ups of the album on the wall. This part of the flat is really bright and I love it. Now, I have to work on the other walls. They are almost empty but I kind of like it like that.

You see this is the only Christmas home decor that I made... and it is not chrismassy at all. :D
