Taller Mini Álbum en el Taller de Santa Eulàlia

El pasado 15 de Junio volví a impartir un taller de scrapbooking en El Taller de Santa Eulàlia. Esta vez fue un Mini Álbum, nivel principiantes. Algunas ya lo visteis en Instagram :D
Montamos el álbum desde cero, lo cosimos y sufrimos con el celo de doble cara :) Practicamos el embossing, tecnicas de resistencia con el mismo, a crear fondos con máscaras y tintas, a hacer bolsillos, ventanas, un poco de layering, estampación y algunos truquitos para componer.
Last 15th June I teached another scrapbooking workshop at El Taller de Santa Eulàlia. This time, it was a Mini Album; beginners level. Some of you, have already seen it on Instagram :D
We built the album from 12x12 scrapbook pages, we sew it and we suffered the double sided tape :) We practiced with embossing, resisting techniques, we create backgrounds with stencils and inks; we made pockets and windows, some layering, stamping and some tricks to compose pages.

Trabajamos con papeles de Studio Calico, Atlantic collection y Crate Paper, Navy Pier collection. Adornos de ambas colecciones y de Chic Tags y cortes veraniegos de mi Cameo ^^
We worked with Atlantic collection from Studio Calico and Navy Pier from Crate Paper. We also used embellishements from both collections, some other from Chic Tags and some summery die-cuts from my Cameo ^^

Me lo pasé en grande con todas ellas. Un gran grupo de mujeres artistas con muchísimas ganas de aprender y con muchas cosas que enseñar. Súper agradecida de nuevo! ^^

I had a fantastic time with these great group of artist ladies. They were so eagering to learn and they had a lot of things to teach. I am again so grateful! ^^

Mini Álbum :: The Chums

Buenos días! Cómo os está sentando el veranito? Yo tengo muchas ganas de disfrutarlo al aire libre, de día y de noche... Esto pasa volando y hay que agarrarlo! ;)

Hoy os enseño un álbum que hice... Para mí! :D 

Fue una tarde tan increíblemente divertida y tan llena de momentos inolvidables que tuve que dedicarle un mini! <3

Today I show you a mini I made... for me!! :D It was an incredible funny afternoon full of unexpected things and I had to scrapbook it! <3

Papeles de Crate Paper, de Maggie Holmes y Elle's Studio y algunas tarjetas de October Afternoon, ILS

He intentado hacer un álbum un pelín desestructurado y con elementos que sobresalgan de la estructura.
Patterned paper from Crate Paper Maggie Holmes collection, Elle's Studio and some journaling cards from October afternoon, ILS.
I tried to make an unequal structure with some elements pointing out here and there.

Encuaderné el mini poniendo las páginas una encima de otra y pasando el medio del álbum por la máquina de coser. Luego corté un trozo de papel rectangular y lo enganché en el lomo ( el trocito de papel color crema con letras) Los hilos los dejé sueltos para darle un poco de textura y movimiento.
I made the binding placing all the pages together one on top of another and I machine stitched all along the middle of the album. Then I cut a rectangular piece of patterned paper (the cream one with handwriting) and backed the album with it.

FSN :: Fave Day

Hola a todas!
Ayer al terminar un trabajo que estaba haciendo, me encontré una pluma en la mesa y ¡bling! :D recordé el Reto de Junio de FSN! Aún tenía algo de tiempo... Así que in extremis, pero aquí va mi aportación:
Hi everyone!
Yesterday, after finishing something I was doing, I found this feather on my desk and ¡bling! I remember FSN June Challenge! I still had some time left to do it... And here you can see what I came up with:

La idea de que todo esté en blanco y negro y sólo la foto esté resaltada con un poco de color por debajo la vi esta semana en un layout de Jennifer Kinkade en la revista Scrapperin.

Supongo que el layout lo publicará cuando pasen varios meses.

I saw this idea of black and white and just one colour behind the photo, on a layout by Jennifer Kinkade in Scrapperin magazine this week. I suppose she will publish the page in some months.

Llevaba un par de semanas un poco de bajón creativo y este layout me encantó... y además, me dio ese empujón de inspiración que echaba de menos! Gracias!

I wasn't feeling inspired since some weeks ago and her layout switched on my mood! Thanks!

El sello sobre el papel es de Kelly Purkey y los papeles son de Studio Calico, Becky Higgins y My Mind's eye. Arriba, podéis ver restos de etiqueta de una prenda de ropa :D y abajo, spray negro sobre una máscara.

The stamp is from Kelly Purkey and the patterned paper from Studio Calico, Becky Higgins and My Mind's eye. On the top, you can see a tag from a clot h  I bought:D and at the bottom, black spray over a mask.

Me alegra porque el hecho de que esté en blanco y negro + el rosa ayuda a contar la historia de este layout ya que es una foto de este día así como la pluma, que me la dio mi amiga de la foto, Olga. ^^ 

A ver si recupero la inspiración! :D

I am glad because the colour of the layout (black and white + pink) helps to tell the story of the page because this is a photo of this particular day. And my friend of the photo, Olga gave me the black feather you can see on the layout ^^

Happy at the beach :: KDS Blog Hop!

Hola a todas y... ¡¡Bienvenido verano!! Una fuerte ovación! :D

Hoy queda inaugurada esta nueva estación por la fecha del calendario y por el Blog Hop de KDS que podéis ver aquí.

Esta es mi aportación al tema, que no podía tener otro protagonista que la playa:

Hi everyone and... Welcome Summer!! So long wanted! :D
Today we inaugurate this season as per our calendars and also with KDS Blog Hop that you can check here.
This is my contribution and my focus could not be anything else but the beach:

Esta es mi actividad favorita en verano y tengo la suerte de poderla realizar a menudo ya que tengo la playa a poca distancia de casa. A veces, voy acompañada pero otras voy sola. Y me encanta.
Cojo la moto, capazo, melena al viento y para allá que me voy. Libro o revista, música y desconexión. Esto es lo que haré la semana que viene que tengo vacaciones.
Voy a estar un poco out de internet pero espero que tengáis muy buena entrada de verano!
This is my favorite activity during summer and I am so lucky to have the sea near home. Sometimes, I go with friends or family and sometimes I go by myself. And I love it. A book or a magazine, music and switch off rutine. This is what I will do next week as I will be on holidays. I will be out of the internet but I hope you have a great beginning of summer!

Os dejo con un par de detalles del Layout. En la parte de arriba podéis ver el layering con 3 washi tapes distintos, un die-cut, un imprimible de Studio Calico y enamel dots.
Debajo, adornos como la chapa, la cámara fotográfica de corcho y el want de madera pintado con pintura acrílica blanca. Los papeles son de Dear Lizzy y Studio Calico Sundrifter
Here I leave you with two close ups: Above you can see 3 different washi taped layered, one die-cut, one printable from Studio Calico and some enamel dots.
Below, embellishments like a badge, the cork camera, and wood "want" painted in white. Patterned paper is from Dear Lizzy and Studio Calico Sundrifter collection.

Scrapbook para web

Buenos días!
Hoy os traigo un layout totalmente tradicional pero con un fin totalmente digital!
Un amigo me propuso hacer un scrapbook como fondo de una web para una pareja que se casaba. Y él haría todo el tema web de detrás.
El layout debía contener todas las secciones de la web en forma de títulos. Yo pedí una foto de la pareja y esto es lo que salió:
Hi there!
Today I bring you a traditional layout for a digital purpose! It was a collaboration between a friend and I for a couple that were getting married.
This layout had to contain the tittle of all the sections of the web. I asked for a photo of the couple and that is what came out:

Tenía algunas consignas como: que no fuera romántico-pasteloso (este último adjetivo lo añado yo para entendernos :D) y que los títulos de las secciones debían estar íntegros tal y como me los pasaban. Ya que como me enteré más adelante, forman parte de una canción de Sisa. Para hacerlo más vistoso, busqué entre mis cositas de scrap y añadí iconos relacionados con el contenido de la sección.
Ej: També pots venir si vols- el coche- lleva al "cómo llegar"
I had some previous instructions as: It could not be romantic and the tittles had to remain as they were sent to us. Afterwards I knew they were part of a song.
To make the overall design prettier I searched in my stash for something that could be used as icons of every section.
Ex: També pots venir si vols - the car - "How to arrive"

 Cada título, como os he comentado, llevaba a una página a parte con contenido que se encargó de editar mi amigo. Así, los títulos eran "hechos a mano" para mantener la coherencia en la web y el resto, digital.
Every tittle lead to a new page with the content that was edited by my friend.
All the tittles were "handmade" to maintain the coherence of the web and the rest was digitally added.

Esto es todo lo que os puedo mostrar ya que la web es privada. :)
Ha sido una experiencia enriquecedora trabajar en un proyecto con alguien más, siguiendo unas pautas concretas. En muchos momentos luchando para no ponerme romántica :D
Y nunca sabiendo cómo realmente quedaría una vez colgado hasta el final.
Aún así, creo que mantengo mi estilo! Y las páginas de las secciones con los títulos grandes... Me encantan! Os dejo con una pequeña imagen capturada de internet. Para que veáis cómo realmente se veía:
And that is all I can show you because the web is private :)
It has been a rewarding esperience to work in a project with somebody else following some specific instructions. Most of the times, fighting for not being romantic! :D And also never knowing the final result until the end.
Despite this, I think it still has my style... and I loved the big tittles of the sections!

No es un trabajo profesional para web, ni mucho menos. Más bien algo entre amigos... con recompensas del tipo: una tarde en casa de nuestra intermediaria-directora de proyecto (Begoña) con patatitas, cervecitas y olivitas con mi amigo y vecino (Luis)

Project Life :: W17- W20

Buenos días!
Hacía un mes que no actualizaba mi Project Life. Así que aquí van 4 semanas. Nos remontamos hasta Abril!
Hi there! One month since my last update of my Project Life. So here you are: 4 weeks, Let's start with April!

Semana del 22 al 28 de Abril

Muchas cosas felices ocurrieron esta semana... Para documentarlo utilicé restos de papeles, partes del Kit de Studio Calico y un die-cut sonriente :D
It happened a lot of happy things this week... I used scraps of paper , Studio Calico kit and a smiley die-cut! :D

Semana del 29 de Abril al 5 de Mayo

Esta semana una de mis mejores amigas me pidió que fuera su dama de honor! :')
Y las que vivís en Barcelona, recordaréis que esta semana fue la que tuvimos una tormenta de arena del Sáhara y nos dejó un día amarillo! Muy apocalíptico! :]

This week one of my best friends ask me to be her bridesmaid :')
And for those of you who live in Barcelona, you will remember the day we had a sand storm from Africa. Yelow sky all day long... Very apocalyptic! ;]

 Semana del 6 al 12 de Mayo

Aquí utilicé el Project Life Kit de Studio Calico. Lo cual se nota en la uniformidad! :D
"Week" forma parte de un sello del Kit (no puede ser más útil!! Por fin!) y "19" está hecho con sellos acrílicos y luego pintandos con uniball verde

Here I used Studio Calico Project Life Kit. You can notice in the unity, don't you? :D
"Week" is a stamp from the kit (so useful!!)  and "19" is made with acrylic stamps and then painted with green uniball pen.

 Semana del 13 al 19 de Mayo
Semana del AmyLory weekend! Aquí he utilizado íntegramente el Project Life Kit de KDS que venía con productos de Fancy Pants... Si parecía chulo en las fotos... Cuando lo abrí...
Aluciné!! A parte de que la colección es fantástica: alegre, veraniega, llena de colores (azul náutico, rosa vintage, teal, etc) hay un montón de material: entre tags, alphas, die-cuts, chapas, stickers, bordes, papel 12x12, etc Va a dar para muchos trabajos! :D

AmyLory Weekend! Here I used from start to finish KDS Project Life Kit. It comes with lot of products from Fancy Pants: Tags, alphas, die-cuts. badges, stickers borders, paper... Just amazing: I will surely create many more things! 

Aquí podéis ver un detalle con una chapita encima de un tag del kit y vellum que lo pasé por la máquina de escribir <3 Me gusta la transparencia de las letras sobre el tag y las gotitas de tinta.
Para las letras de KDS usé pintura blanca sobre las letras de cartón.

For the letters KDS I painted the chipboard with white acrylic paint.

 Y eso es todo por hoy! Me doy cuenta de que dentro de poco llego al ecuador del Project Life! Una gran hazaña que merece una reflexión del proyecto... Para el próximo día!
And that's all for today. I realize that I am nearly at the half of my Project Life (2013) That's quite a milestone for me! It deserves some thoughts about it... But that's for the next day!

LO :: I Love Types

Adoro las letras, adoro los tipos, las máquinas de escribir, los libros, las historias... Adoro este papel de Kesi'art... :D

Quería utilizarlo antes de sacar provecho a otras nuevas colecciones.

Este papel con letras superpuestas es sencillamente alucinante. Tiene la misma textura que este de la misma colección.

I love letters, I love types, I love typewriters, books, stories... I love that patterned paper form Kesi'art... :D
This paper with letters on it is simply amazing. It has the same texture as this one from the same collection.

Un sencillo homenaje a las letras y a cómo nos hacen volar...
